Paris EUROPLACE is the organization which promotes Paris as a financial market. It represents the major players in the financial market, namely corporate issuers, investors, brokerage firms, banking institutions, market authorities, law, accounting and consulting firms, and professional associations. Its main characteristic is precisely to bring together the multiplicity of players in the financial industry.
With 150 members, Paris EUROPLACE has gained recognition internationally for its role in promoting Paris as a financial market and coordinating all related activities.

Paris EUROPLACE meets high-level delegation from the City of London
Paris, May 16, 2008. In the context of the French Presidency of the European Union beginning of July 2008, Paris EUROPLACE and the City of London have met to discuss and define their common vision and priorities. A joint committee was co-chaired by Michel PEBEREAU, Chairman of BNP Paribas and André VILLENEUVE, Chairman of City of London EU Advisory Group, and was joined by City of London Lord Mayor David LEWIS and the City of London Corporation's Policy Chairman Stuart FRASER, during their official visit to France prior to the EU Presidency.

Paris Financial Services High Level Committee

The strategic importance of the financial industry has been recognized by the French President Mr. Nicolas SARKOZY through the creation of a round table discussion and the nomination of a "high level committee" chaired by Mrs. Christine LAGARDE, Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment. The Committee is responsible for initiating and implementing new measures to strengthen the attractiveness of Paris financial services.
